Opinion Writing

This week we took on the role of food critic! We taste tested three different kinds of, you guessed it, Oreos! We got to try Double Stuff, Birthday Cake, and Chocolate. Once we selected our favorite Oreo, we thought of three reasons why we liked it the best. We challenged ourselves to add detail to our writing - many of us mentioned how creamy and smooth the delicious cream was! We even recommended that you give them a try!

These great opinion writers will be doing a lot of writing in the coming weeks, including book reviews and persuasive letters. Ask us what we have learned about facts and opinions so far!  We will also continue our writing jobs during Writer's Workshop - teacher's basket, author's spotlight, teacher's table, and technology. Ask us which one is our favorite!
