About Me

Welcome to multiage! I hope that you have enjoyed your summer! I cannot believe it is almost time to begin our year together. I have been working hard to plan lots of fun learning experiences and even though things will be different this year, I can’t wait to learn with you and am eager to connect through this unique year together! I know many challenges lie ahead, but with your partnership, I know we can get through these times together.

A bit about me professionally:  I graduated from UNH in 2008 with my masters in Elementary Education & most recently this spring with my CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) from SNHU in Leadership through a Competency Based System. I have a love for learning and enjoy taking on new challenges.

I have to say that I LOVE teaching multiage. The past years have been so rewarding. Multiage has worked so well because I have had the support and trust of my families over the years. This will be my 14th year at EKES. (One year included my graduate internship with Mrs. Dohrmann) and my 7th year teaching multiage!

We have wonderful returning 2nd graders and families, and I know our new friends will feel comfortable and welcomed by them.

What have you done this summer? My family and I enjoyed some fun outdoor activities like visiting Lake Winnipesaukee each weekend, hiking, and going up north to explore! I have a newly turned 4 year old named Will and a very busy Golden Retriever puppy Tex, that just turned 1. My husband’s name is Billy. He works in construction and oversees the creation of big buildings! I can’t wait to tell you lots of stories about them!

Our first theme this year will be about the care of pets, which is one of my favorite units. We will  learn about wild animals vs. domestic animals (this is a fancy word for pets  that live with humans). We may even find ways to connect with the NH SPCA to learn about pets and support their mission of helping animals in need. I will see you soon. Enjoy the sunny weather!
