Dress Up For When You Grow Up

Before break, we spent our Friday afternoon dressed up for when we grow up! Our classroom was full of future vets, farmers, and marine biologists among many other professions! I was so impressed by the students' knowledge of their future careers. They were able to write about what they wanted to be when the grew up using detailed sentences and explicit examples to support their thoughts on these careers. We have been working hard to add detail to all of our writing and we have made that, as well as editing, part of our new routine. Their writing has really grown!
