We love non-fiction!

We have enjoyed learning about the components of non-fiction... our knowledge of these types of texts has grown a ton! One of our last jobs in this unit was to take all we learned to write our own non-fiction texts based on our own individual interest. In our independent studies we learned how to ask questions, collect information and transfer that knowledge into our own informational texts. Although this was a huge, huge process I wanted us to really understand non-fiction and how to navigate these types of texts before starting our own stories. We spent a lot of time examining a variety of non-fiction texts on all different topics which helped us many features of non-fiction in our stories. We will share all of our hard work soon!
