Sneak Peek after vacation

Wow...vacations never seem long enough. I hope you all enjoyed a break. We are excited to get started with the rest of our year! Here is a peek at our return... we have lots of fun ahead of us!

Math: Fractions and continuing to work on number fluency in addition and subtraction facts as well as 2digit adding and subtracting.

Science: Geology/Rocks & Minerals, due to popular demand studying fossils and dinosaurs and finishing our unit with our Dino Dig. Also-continuing our nature/tree study with winter trees.

Social Studies: On our way to Ireland just in time for St. Patricks day! Beginning a unit on mapping & letter writing using Flat Stanley

Reading: Continue with non-fiction book clubs & applying learned concepts of non fiction during our independent time. Folktales & fairytales: Components of these texts & continuing to work on retelling and story plot.

Writing: Small moment stories reinforcing writing process from plan to published piece.
