Non-Fiction

We have spent the month studying the components of non-fiction, comparing fiction & non-fiction texts and asking questions/activating schema before we read. We will continue non-fiction book clubs when we return from break based on our interests. (Some are studying fossils, gems, animal, sports) This is a good opportunity to apply what we know about the conventions & better understand main idea. We are keeping track of our questions & new knowledge as we explore our topics.
