China Cultural Study

In December we boarded a plane to Beijing, China to learn a bit about the culture of China! We were lucky to have a few visitors share their living or travel experiences with us and enjoyed learning about the people and important places in China.  Through our study, we learned that there has been a decline in people from the US traveling to China and became travel agents for the East Kingston Travel Company to try to convince our clients to take a trip to China! We each chose an area of interest and got to work exploring---some working independently others creating small groups or partnerships. Many helping hands went into supporting students in exploring their interests (thank you to all involved) and students blew us away with the level of ownership and excitement they had for their projects, even working through snack and recess by choice! It was an awesome celebration of our learning! We are in the process of reflecting on our learning on SEESAW- so stay tuned!
