Gardeners at Work!

We were able to sneak in a fall garden thanks to the beautiful weather the past few weeks- looks like we made it just in time as the cold weather rolls in! Mrs. Mercer joined us to teach us about the different types of vegetables we could grow this time of year and helped us plan out our plot. We learned first hand the hard work that goes into gardening and the care that plants require in order to thrive. Thank you Mr. Mizzi and Mrs. Mercer for your help preparing our garden and watering on days we couldn't make it out. We have had a busy start to the year. On Friday, we were able to try out our vegetables during lunch time thanks to Mr. Rice. I have to say the radishes were especially delicious and the presentation was beyond beautiful. We are so lucky to have such hard working, dedicated staff. This was certainly a team effort!

We can't wait to grow a new crop this spring. We just have to make it through the long, cold winter ahead! Can you tell I am going to miss the warm weather? :)
