Exploring motion

As an extension of our unit on motion we used ramps to see how they affect the movement of objects. We talked about the types of objects that would roll the best and then set out to explore. We learned that the position of the ramp changed the speed of the object. The steeper it was, the faster and further it went. We figured out how to make the object go slower too. It was fun to work together and try different ideas. We used our experiences to discuss our findings and thoughts during our class wide open discussion.
