Rocks and Minerals

We have been busy learning about rocks and minerals.We started our unit by asking questions to get us thinking about what we know about this topic.


I already know... What's inside the Earth?
There are a lot of different kinds of rocks. Coal, rocks and minerals are inside
You can see through some rocks. Water and tiny pieces of rock.
Rocks can be as small as a grain of sand. Hot gas, lava and fire
Rocks are made of minerals. Paper is inside the Earth.
Some rocks are in lakes or near water. Rocks, lava, dirt, seeds, roots and plants.
Rocks are solid. Sun is inside the earth.
Some rocks are bumpy, some are smooth. Crust is inside the Earth.
