Dino Dig

We had a great time becoming Paleontologists to kick off our study of Dinosaurs. We have been focused mainly on rocks & minerals up until this point, but dinosaurs are always a big hit!  We had fun exploring our "burning questions" to help us understand these once living reptiles in greater depth. Fossils & bones tell us a great deal about life long ago. We know the difference between herbivores, carnivores and omnivores- We drew conclusions about the type of dinosaurs we found through the teeth and bones we explored. It has become evident over the past few days that we are learning a lot about these creatures. We also have learned a lot about the components of non-fiction and applied this knowledge to help us grow in our understanding through informational partner book clubs.
