Scientist of the Week Alex

Alex was recently our Scientist of the week and performed a neat experiment relating to gravity. She brought along her assistant and did an awesome job sharing her work with us. We were amazed to see that when the cup was full of water and held upside down with a piece of cardboard covering the opening, the water stayed inside defying gravity! The cardboard created a seal and the lack of air pressure inside the glass and amount of pressure outside the glass caused the water to stay inside...WOW! We all got a chance to give it a try ourselves. Ask us to show you how it works at home! Great work Alex!
