Reading: Character Study- Understanding the characters in our books, character development/how they change and evolve, how do they respond to major events in stories?

Writing: Realistic Fiction- Creating short stories.

Science

Study of bats based around our questions. Are bats birds, comparing and contrasting both animals, focus on non-fiction and how to navigate these types of texts.

Trees- How do trees change over the course of a year? Why do they change? Observing and inquiry based activities around the tree life-cycle.

Social Studies

China- Study of other cultures, developing an awareness and respect for cultures "different" than ours.
